Users with Admin permissions are able to enter a CPD record on behalf of an individual, or in bulk on behalf of staff members.
For example, if a large number of staff have all completed the same training, you can enter the CPD record on their behalf to ensure consistency and reduce workload.
Creating your Flood Fill
- Head into your Admin tab
- From the left hand navigation, find the People Development menu
- Select Flood Fill and then CPD Activities*
- Select the individuals or groups of individuals who completed the training
- Click to select if the training was from the National College, or leave blank if not
- Once you're happy with your selection press Next step.
- On the right-hand side, you can see a list of selected individuals, if at this point you realise someone is missing, simply press back in the browser, amend your selection and press next step again.
- Complete the relevant fields of the CPD form.
- You can link the CPD to objectives if relevant by clicking 'Show details' and then 'View all'.
- Select the CPD Activity Type. These are customisable and set by your organisation.
- Near the foot of the form, you have the ability to sign off these records which bypasses your CPD Team if applicable. This is particularly useful if you adding CPD that has already happened.
- To add evidence such as certificates, check the Add evidence to all CPDs box. This will be managed on the next page.
- Check your form carefully before clicking Create. Please note that once created, the CPD will belong to the individual and you will be unable to add evidence again.
- If you chose to attach evidence, you'll now be on the Manage Evidence page. If you did not choose to add evidence you'll receive confirmation that your CPDs have been created.
*You will need to have been granted admin permission to CPD Activities (Flood fill). If you do not have this please speak to your organisation's People Development (formerly BlueSky) lead.
Adding Evidence to Flood Filled CPDs
- Locate the file from your device and give it a label then press Upload.
- Or select Links and copy in the URL and give it a label then press Save.
- Repeat for any documents or links you wish to attach to your flood fill.
- Select Finished uploading evidence.
You must select Finished uploading evidence before navigating away.
Made a mistake?
If you entered some incorrect information or selected the wrong individual(s) you can delete your newly created CPD records.
- Remaining in Admin, select CPD from the left-hand navigation menu.
- Select Delete Flood Filled from the expanded sub-menu.
- Select the Created Filter to bring the most recent to the top or simply use the search and filter options above for Activity, Event or Individual.
- Check the box next to the activity you wish to delete, or use the 'Select all' check box at the top of the column.
- Once you've checked your selection press Delete selection.
