Creating your Appraisal / Line Manager Structure
Please be advised the manager will have access to; CPDs, Professional Objectives, Overview Statements (including Pay Spine information if applicable) and Reviews. Self-Evaluations (where activated) and Observations are also available through Manage Reports.
- Select Users & Groups from the left-hand navigation menu
- Select Manage Users
- Under User Management, select Bulk Assign Line Managers
- Begin typing the name of the manager into the field or use the standard drop-down and scroll option.
- Once your manager's name is located press Select.
- A new window will appear underneath listing your staff. Simply scroll through or use the search bar to auto-complete your search and then check the box to the right of the individual's name.
- This will automatically save and you will see a green flash across the name and the word ‘Saved’ appear in the space on the right-hand side. The individuals selected receive a notification informing them of this update.
- Once you have assigned all the relevant individuals to the manager, simply write over their name or select a new name in the drop-down above and press Select again to select a new manager and then repeat the process.
Once you have repeated the process for all your managers, you can check your management structure is correct by using the Line manager Mappings Report (you will require access to reports to view this, please see your BlueSky lead or contact the support team if you are unsure).
- Staying in Admin select Reports
- Under Management of BlueSky select Line manager Mappings Report
- Just like the Groups Report we provide an Unassigned Users section so you can see who's without a manager. Unlike Groups, there will always be at least one person (Headteacher/Principal) here.
Top Tip: Run the manager mappings report when you start then simply head back to the tab and refresh the page to get a live status on your mapping!
