Whether you are adding staff to internal training events or uploading staff’s CPD, Flood fill enables you to enter the CPD record on their behalf individually or in bulk.
You will need to have been granted admin permission to CPD Activities (Flood fill). If you do not have this and require it, please speak to your organisation's BlueSky lead or get in touch with our team.
Creating your Flood Fill
- Head into your Admin tab and select Flood Fill from the left-hand navigation menu.
- Select CPD Activities from the sub-menu. If you also have permission to flood fill objectives, this option will appear too.
- Now you can select individuals or groups of individuals. Simply search, scroll or select and the counter will update based on your selection.
- If you're creating records against an Event you can select this from the dropdown below or link them to a BlueSky Learning module (if subscribed).
- Once you're happy with your selection press Next step.
- On the right-hand side, you can see a list of selected individuals, if at this point you realise someone is missing, simply press back in the browser amend your selection and press next step again.
- Complete the relevant fields of the CPD form. If you chose a training event, many of the fields will have been pre-filled.
- Near the foot of the form, you have the ability to pre-sign off these records which bypasses your CPD Team if applicable. This is particularly useful if you adding CPD that has already happened.
- Lastly, should you have generic resources or evidence to add to these CPDs such as an attendance certificate or handout from the session make sure you check the box Add evidence to all CPDs. Once created the CPD will belong to the individual and you will be unable to add evidence again.
- We always recommend giving the form a quick check but once you're happy press Create.
- If you chose not to attach evidence, you'll receive a confirmation your CPDs have been created and you can repeat the action or head to your next task.
Adding Evidence to Flood Filled CPDs
If you chose to attach evidence, you'll now be on the Manage Evidence page.
- Locate the file from your device and give it a label then press Upload.
- Select Links and copy in the URL and give it a label then press Save.
- Repeat for any documents or links you wish to attach to your flood fill.
- Once you have finished select Finished uploading evidence.
You must select Finished uploading evidence before navigating away, evidence upload is queued for uploading and stating you have finished, begins the upload process to the records.
Made a mistake?
If you entered some incorrect information or selected the wrong individual(s) you can delete your newly created CPD records. We don't recommend deleting CPDs that have existed for a while in case individuals have added to them but you can always check this through the CPD Activities Report.
- Remaining in Admin, select CPD from the left-hand navigation menu.
- Select Delete Flood Filled from the expanded sub-menu.
- Select the Created Filter to bring the most recent to the top or simply use the search and filter options above for Activity, Event or Individual.
- Check the box next to the activity you wish to delete. If it's all of them then you can use the select all check box at the top of the column.
- Once you've checked your selection press Delete selection.
